USA: According to reports, Spotify has decided to stop making some of its audio programs. The renowned audio streaming service recently decided to discontinue at least six of its audio programs while keeping a few others with live audio options.

A spokesperson for Spotify reportedly confirmed the cancellation of several audio shows, including Deux Me After Dark, Doughboys: Snack Pack, The Movie Buff, and A Gay in the Life.

Fantasy Footballers and The Ringer MMA Show will still run their complementary live audio offerings, according to the report.

The live audio features of the Swedish audio service's companion app, Spotify Greenroom, were integrated into the main app by April.

According to a report in TechCrunch, Spotify will acquire Greenroom in March 2021 after spending $62 million to acquire its parent company, Betty Labs. The Greenroom was formerly known as the Locker Room.

The business recently announced the launch of a new rewards program in India, providing users with a one-week discount for their Spotify Mini Premium plan.

According to the company, users who have subscribed to Spotify Premium Mini for ten days will get a discount, which will allow them to pay Rs. 2 for the one-week plan as opposed to the Rs. 25, saving them money.

Although the feature was made available only to its premium subscribers, the audio streaming service completely ditched its Play and Shuffle buttons in August.
