Farmers' Movement: Sixth phase talks between farmers and government begin

New Delhi: The sixth phase of negotiations between the central government and farmers opposing the agricultural law has started on Wednesday. Everyone's eyes are on this conversation. It is to be decided from the talks that the peasants on the borders of Delhi will retreat or the movement will continue. Farmers organizations have been adamant on repealing all the three agricultural laws till now. While the central government has made it clear that it will not withdraw the law.

Meanwhile, Union Minister Som Prakash has said that he hopes that the talks on Wednesday will prove to be decisive and the farmers' agitation will end. He said that all issues have to be discussed again on Wednesday. He said that in the meeting there will be a special discussion on the policy of minimum support price, with which the movement started. Som Prakash is one of the three representatives appointed by the Central Government who are discussing with the farmers.

Along with them are Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar and Railway Minister Piyush Goyal, two other representatives who will be involved in negotiations with farmers. These three leaders have been talking to the farmers on agricultural laws since the beginning. Som Prakash told the media that, "We hope that this conversation will be decisive. The government is talking to the farmers with an open heart. We hope that the farmers' movement will end today."
