Skoda is all set to ship the facelifted Kodiaq SUV to India tomorrow. The SUV will return to the market after being removed nearly two years ago owing to BS 6 regulations. Skoda's initial introduction in India this year will be the Kodiaq, which will be followed by the Slavia, the company's future luxury sedan. The Kodiaq SUV, which will be launched in India on Monday, was first released in global markets last year. The 2022 Skoda Kodiaq will receive a number of improvements, including exterior, interior, and under-the-hood design changes.

The 2018 Kodiaq will have a revised grille, new LED Daytime Running Lamp signatures, and new bumpers in terms of appearance. The tail lights, as well as the back bumper, have been modified. The SUV's profile is identical to that of the previous generation vehicle.

Step into the 2017 Kodiaq, and you'll be welcomed with a spacious dual-tone interior. An 8-inch touchscreen entertainment system with built-in navigation and wireless networking now dominates the dashboard. Behind the steering wheel is a bigger 10.25-inch digital driver display.

The ventilated front seats of the 2022 Kodiaq will feature both cooling and heating functions. There are three zones in the automated temperature control system. Other amenities include a panoramic sunroof, a 12-speaker Canton sound system, and ambient lighting. A 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine will power the 2022 Kodiaq SUV under the hood. It has a maximum output of 190 horsepower and a peak torque of 320 Nm. The engine will most likely be paired with a 7-speed DCT gearbox.

Skoda says the Kodiaq SUV will have Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) system. It adapts the damping characteristics by adjusting the shock absorbers of the SUV. The adjustment is made on the basis of the driving modes selected by the driver. Skoda will offer the Kodiaq SUV with as many as five drive models. These include Eco, Normal, Sports, Snow and Individual.

As far as safety is concerned, the 2022 Skoda Kodiaq SUV will be packed with nine airbags. Besides, the SUV will also get safety assist features such as ESC, MCB, AFS, ABS, ASR among others. Skoda Kodiaq SUV is likely to be launched at a price of around ₹35 lakh (ex-showroom). The price of the previous model used to start at ₹33 lakh (ex-showroom). When launched, the Kodiaq facelift SUV will take on rivals like the Volkswagen Tiguan, Hyundai Tucson and Citroen C5 Aircross among others.
