Skoda sold out of the new 2022 Kodiaq facelift SUV in India in less than a day. On Monday, the Czech carmaker debuted the second generation Kodiaq SUV in India. Kodiaq SUV was released at a starting price of 34.99 lakh as a Completely Knocked Down (CKD) model (ex-showroom).

The new Kodiaq SUV was released earlier this year in international markets. The 7-seater SUV now comes with an updated engine, as well as other design and technological improvements, in its new version. Skoda has replaced the BS 6 compliant 2.0-litre TSI petrol engine that was discontinued two years ago owing to BS 6 requirements with a BS 6 compliant 2.0-litre TSI petrol engine. Other Skoda vehicles, such as the Octavia and Superb, are powered by the same engine.

The engine is mated to a DSG automatic gearbox with seven speeds. It has a maximum power of 190 PS and a maximum torque of 320 Nm. Skoda boasts that the new Kodiaq can accelerate from zero to 100 kilometres per hour in 7.8 seconds.

Aside from the engine, the Skoda Kodiaq received updates in 2022. The 2018 Kodiaq facelift has a reworked hexagonal grille with chrome surrounds flanked by crystalline LED headlights in terms of style. A new set of dual-tone alloy wheels, a functioning roof rail, and new wraparound LED taillights are also included.

The Kodiaq's cabin has also received some alterations. It now has a dual-tone black and beige design. An 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with built-in navigation and wireless connectivity, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, three-zone automatic climate control, 12-speaker Canton sound system, ventilated front seats with cooling and heating functionality, ambient lighting, and an electrically operated panoramic sunroof are all included. A two-spoke steering wheel is also included.

In terms of storage, Skoda Kodiaq facelift SUV comes with an illuminated and cooled glovebox at the front as standard. It also gets 270 litres of boot space with all seven seats up. The boot space can be expanded to 630 litres with the third row seats folded and up to 2005 litres of luggage space with the last two rows folded down.
