Smita Patil is one of the most popular gems in Bollywood. The actress lost her life at very early age but she has given various memorable performances in her life. Smita also worked with Big  B in some movies. Amitabh Bachchan gave very bold scenes with Smita Patil in the song ‘Aaj Rapat Jaaye To Hum Na Uthayeyo’ from the film ‘Namak Halal’. This song was filmed in the rain.

As per the reports, Smita was not happy with the intimate scene. After the shooting, She also had a lot of digestibility. Due to this acknowledgment, she kept crying all night. After this, She also took a break from the shooting of the film for a few days, but made a comeback after Amitabh’s persuasion. 

Amitabh Bachchan also once celebrating the 34 th year of the film recalled the experience and said, wrote, “Namak Halaal celebrates 34 years…with the exceptional Smita Patil, who was so uncomfortable during the shooting of the entire film because she just could not understand why she was asked to do what she was asked to do in the film. But she did it with a lot of personal persuasions from me and it came out fine. She was gentle and frail but stronger than anything you could ever encounter in a woman…truly a gift we lost we never should have.”

Smita Patil started her journey as a television news presenter. She then made her debut in Bollywood with Mere Saath Chal (1974) and went on to feature in several films. Smita was also a two-time National Award winner. Smita starred in films such as Manthan (1976), Bhumika (1977), Gaman (1978), Aakrosh (1980), Albert Pinto Ko Gussa Kyon Aata Hai (1980), Arth (1982), Bazaar (1982), Ardh Satya and Mandi (1983), Mirch Masala (1987), among many others. The actress got married to Raj Babbar died at the age of 31 after giving birth to Pratik Babbar due to complications.
