New Delhi: India's vice-captain, Smriti Mandhana, has risen two places to secure the third spot on the latest ICC Women's ODI batting rankings, which were released on Tuesday. Mandhana's ascent comes on the back of her stellar performance, where she scored a match-winning 117, her first century at home, leading India to a comprehensive 143-run victory over South Africa in a three-match series.

With 715 points, Mandhana is now behind Sri Lanka's Chamari Athapaththu, who recently lost her top ranking to England's Natalie Sciver-Brunt. Sciver-Brunt reclaimed the number one position after an impressive unbeaten 124 against Pakistan last month.

In other notable movements, senior India all-rounder Deepti Sharma climbed three places to secure the 20th position, while Pooja Vastrakar moved up three spots to 38th. Vastrakar was the most significant gainer among all-rounders, advancing four places to reach the 18th position.

Marizanne Kapp of South Africa continues to hold the top spot in the ICC ODI all-rounder rankings.

Deepti Sharma also made gains in the ODI bowling rankings, rising one place to fourth after a commendable performance in the series opener, where she recorded figures of 2/10. Meanwhile, England's Sophie Ecclestone maintained her dominant position at the top of the ODI bowling rankings.

The latest rankings reflect the dynamic shifts in women's cricket, with players from various countries showcasing their talents and climbing up the rankings ladder.
