Srinagar: After the hilly areas of Jammu and Kashmir, heavy snowfall has started in the plains of Kashmir today. Due to this, all the national highways connecting Kashmir with the country have been closed for vehicular traffic. This has also adversely affected air traffic. Two flights have been canceled so far due to snowfall at Srinagar Airport. Due to this, other flights are running late than their scheduled time.
At the same time, due to late-night snowfall, Srinagar has accumulated about 4 inches of snow. At the same time, electricity service has been disrupted in many areas of Kashmir. In many places, the work of opening a control room and sending essential items to the people is being started. According to the Meteorological Department, Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh will see heavy snowfall and rain on 6-8 November. The administration has started making strict arrangements to deal with it.
Along with this, snowfall in Himachal Pradesh has made the weather pleasant. Snowfall continues in Solang Nala in Kullu district near Manali in the state. Where all buildings and grounds are covered with a white sheet of snow.
