17-year-old Kaamna Dwivedi is the author of THE UNEXPECTED THINGS! Harsha Maram and Sahil Bakshi are the editors of THE UNEXPECTED THINGS! Her novel is a drama fiction, fictional story of a person named Sara who is the owner of MNC in New York City, living best days of her life with her mom, brother, and cousin at her aunt's home in Chicago.

While she was enjoying her vacation in Chicago she gets a text from her dad that, her high school is organizing a reunion party for their batch. This left her blank and shocked. She decided that she will not go to the reunion party and tells her decision to her mom. Her mom insists her to go and join the party and she will enjoy it, but Sara refuses. Her brother and cousin try to convince her for the reunion party, but Sara was sure about her decision. Her brother asks her why she doesn't want to join the reunion party. Usually, people will be excited about reunion parties but why Sara wasn't excited? Why she doesn't want to meet her high school friends? What would have happened with her? What's her past that's stopping her to join the reunion party? He asks Sara all the questions and then Sara tells them her story.

The subtitle of this novel is "SOMETIMES THE ENDINGS ARE NOT WHAT WE EXPECT" the author wants to tell readers by this subtitle that, sometimes some things happen beyond our expectations. We never even think it in our imaginations but it happens. It can be either someone's worse nightmare or dreams someone always wanted to get true. The things we never predict happens with us.
