Singer Sona Mohapatra is seen in discussions every time due to her controversial statement. Every time she makes such statements that are shocking. Sona has also been seen to backfire on the statements of many people. She is unable to tolerate the humiliation towards women. Recently she has given her reaction to a similar statement.


This statement was made by Kerala Congress chief Mullappally Ramachandran and it was in relation to women. Recently Sona has tweeted from her verified account and wrote, "We women have lived surrounded by the violence of sexual intimidation & possible rape in our normal day to day lives.Surrounded by its energy everyday! We have learnt to live with it,fight it,yet pursue our dreams,keep our kindness.Slap UR idea of self respect Mr Congress chief."

Ramachandran had reportedly said, "a self-respecting woman would prefer to die rather than publicly admit that she has been sexually abused". Sona had done something similar earlier too. She had also reacted to the alleged derogatory remarks made by actor Mukesh Khanna about women. Mukesh Khanna released a video and clarified it.
