Sonali Bendre is currently undergoing treatment for highgrade cancer in New York. Actor Anupam Kher is also shooting for his Hollywood series NBC New Amsterdam. During this he meets with Sonali on the weekends and the bet is taken between the two who will go home first. Sonali has mentioned this in her tweets.

" Sonali's sister in law Srishti Behl has given information related to Sonali's health. Srishti said that "She is staying strong". Her sister-in-law Sonali is constantly fighting a war of cancer. Sonali's Strength is also evident from the fact that she is constantly giving health updates to her fans through social media.
"I have done few films with @iamsonalibendre. We’ve met socially many times in Mumbai. She always has been bright & a very warm person. But it is only in the last 15days that I got the opportunity to spend some quality time with her in NY. And I can easily say,”She is my HERO”, wrote Anupam Kher.
