Instagram further wrote in its reply, "We will use your feedback for better experiences of others. If you do not want to see them then unfollow, mute, or block them". After this reply by Instagram, actress Sonam Kapoor got angry and has reprimanded Instagram, sharing the comments of the threats being received by sister Rhea Kapoor. Recently, Sonam Kapoor wrote on the story of her official Instagram account, "Threatening to kill does not seem to violate Instagram guidelines. Or maybe its team does not understand Hindi'."

Before Sonam Kapoor, her sister Rhea also responded to Instagram and said, "Instagram, really? Look at the comment once. This has not happened many times. I will block that person but are you doing your part to keep this community safe? I am very happy to block unnecessarily hateful commentators, but I am angry that threatening to kill my life is not against your community guidelines".
