Congress spokesperson Randeep Surjewala on Thursday said that the committee constituted by Congress President Sonia Gandhi will submit its report within the next two days on the party's preparedness and strategy ahead of the upcoming state elections and the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Surjewala said the committee set up by Sonia Gandhi will submit its report and recommendations within the next 24 to 48 hours to make the Congress organisation more effective, including further strengthening the party for the upcoming elections. Earlier, Congress leaders had held marathon meetings with poll strategist Prashant Kishor for two consecutive days, in which senior party leaders including Jairam Ramesh, KC Venugopal, Ambika Soni, Digvijay Singh and P Chidambaram were also present.
Surjewala further said that Sonia Gandhi has set up a committee to look into various suggestions made by political strategist Prashant Kishor and other party leaders to empower the Congress organisation. Those suggestions include preparing a blueprint to meet the aspirations of the people.
