New Delhi: Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi has called an emergency meeting of the Congress Working Committee (CWC) today. 23 disgruntled party leaders who wrote letters to Sonia Gandhi can participate in this emergency meeting of the CWC. In the emergency meeting of the CWC to be held today, there can be a churn in the name of the new Congress president.

Sources in the Congress say that today veteran leaders of the party Ghulam Nabi Azad, Anand Sharma, Prithviraj Chavan, Shashi Tharoor, Bhupendra Singh Hooda and many other leaders will hold discussions with Sonia Gandhi. All these leaders are among the 23 dissatisfied leaders of the party who wrote letters to Sonia Gandhi. It is worth mentioning that recently, former Madhya Pradesh CM Kamal Nath had instructed Sonia Gandhi to meet the 23 dissatisfied leaders of the Congress. Kamal Nath has been close to the Gandhi family for a long time. He had informed Sonia Gandhi that the number of angry leaders in the party is increasing after the embarrassing performance of Congress in the Bihar Legislative Assembly elections.

Sonia Gandhi's meeting with 23 disgruntled leaders of the party in the emergency meeting of the Congress Working Committee can reduce the bitterness. Kamal Nath, P. Chidambaram, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi and Ashok Gehlot are also expected to be present in this meeting.
