New Delhi: Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi has called a meeting on Wednesday for the NEET-JEE examinations. In addition to the CMs of Congress-ruled states in the meeting, the CMs of Congress-backed governments and the Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee was present. In the meeting, Banerjee has demanded that all the states come together against the NEET-JEE examination. Apart from this, Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray raised the issue of the crisis of children getting infected. Sonia Gandhi has said that the GST is not being paid by the Central Government. The meeting is attended by Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot, Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Singh Baghel, Punjab CM Capt Amarinder Singh, Puducherry CM Narayanasamy, Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren and West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee.

'What will we do if the children got infected?': Uddhav Thackeray said, referring to the situation when the school-colleges were opened in the US, 'There was a report from America that when the schools were opened there almost 97,000 children got infected with Covid-19. What should we do if such a situation is created here? ' Thackeray said, 'We must decide whether we have to fear or fight.'

Mamata Banerjee calls for going to Supreme Court: Mamata Banerjee said in the meeting, 'I appeal to all the state governments that we have to work together. Together we go to the Supreme Court and get the exam cancelled till the situation becomes normal for the students to appear in the exam.

Meet PM or President before going to court: Banerjee said, examinations are going to be held in September. Why put the lives of students in jeopardy? We have written a letter to the PM, but so far no reply has come from his side. Captain Amarinder Singh supported Banerjee, then Hemant Soren said that before going to the Supreme Court, we should go to the PM or the President. Soren said that the ruling party is using agencies against the opposition and ignoring the federal structure.

Narayansamy said, conducting examinations may increase the number of coronavirus cases in the country. If this happens, the Indian government is going to be responsible for it. We will fight for this together against the central government on this issue.
