Chandigarh: Congress's Interim Congress President Sonia Gandhi was scheduled to address an election rally in Mahendragarh, Haryana on Friday, but now her son and former Congress National President Rahul Gandhi will address the rally. Sonia Gandhi did not campaign for the party in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections due to her poor health.
This was Sonia Gandhi's first election rally after returning as Interim Congress President. The party also released a detailed program for this, stating that Sonia Gandhi will address a public meeting on Friday at the Government College Sports Complex in Mahendragarh. But now a party source has told that Sonia will not be able to attend the rally due to her ill health.
The party source further stated that, Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi will address a public meeting in Mahendragarh at 2 pm in place of Sonia Gandhi. Let us tell you that in Haryana and Maharashtra, voting is to be held for the Assembly elections on October 21, for which all parties are busy campaigning vigorously. At the same time, the counting of these elections will be done on October 24 and the results will be released on the same day.
