Japanese tech giant Sony has given a big New Year gift to gaming enthusiasts of India. The company has announced on Friday morning that the much-hyped next-generation PlayStation 5 will launch in India on February 2, 2021. On the other hand, the pre-booking for the PlayStation 5 will start on January 12. Customers can buy this gaming console on sale through Amazon, Flipkart, Croma and several other online and offline retailers till the stock lasts.

Sony also revealed the price of PS5 as well the accessories in India. The PlayStation 5 will be available at the cost of Rs 49,990 for the normal edition. While talking about the digital edition, it will cost Rs 39,990. The privce of the DualSense Wireless Controller will be Rs 5,990, the HD camera costs Rs 5,190, the Pulse 3D Wireless Headset is priced at Rs 8,590, the media remote is for Rs 2,590 and the DualSense Charging Station will be avaibale at the rate of Rs 2,590.
The PS5 comes with 16GB of GDDR6 RAM. Unlike the PS4 which had the traditional hard drive, the PS5 comes with a solid-state drive (SSD). It also supports 8K graphics, 4K graphics at a 120Hz refresh rate, and 3D audio. What comes as a relief for gamers is that the PS5 will be backwards compatible with PS4 games.
