If sources are to be believed then Apple bosses are in talks with Jay Z to buy his steaming music service Tidal. The hip-hop entrepreneur purchased the company for US $56 million in 2015, but now he might be handing the wheel over to executives at tech giant.

According to the sources said, “Negotiations are ongoing and may not result in a deal, and the terms are as yet unknown. Insiders say Apple executives are eager to use Tidal's strong ties to top artists in an attempt to grow their own Apple Music service.”

Tidal has also gone during main management shifts with three different CEOs at the tiller since the rapper bought the company.

Apple before made a deal with another hip-hop star in 2014 when they bought  Dr. Dre's Beats Electronic for US $3 billion.
