New Delhi:- The Saudi embassy in Lebanon has urged its citizens to leave the country as soon as possible and avoid accessing areas where armed conflict has occurred. In a statement posted Friday night on X, formerly known as Twitter, the embassy warned Saudi citizens not to travel to areas where armed clashes are taking place, the news agency reported. Saudi Arabia's official SPA reported.

The kingdom did not specify which areas of Lebanon it advised its citizens to avoid. The embassy stressed "the importance of respecting the Saudi travel ban on Lebanon," the statement added.

Kuwait also issued a notice early Saturday urging Kuwaitis in Lebanon to remain vigilant and avoid "area with security problems," but did not ask them to leave the country, according to a statement. from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait.  On August 1, the UK also updated its travel advice for Lebanon, advising against "all but essential travel" to parts of southern Lebanon near the Ein el refugee camp. -Hilweh of Palestine.

Since July 29, at least 13 people have been killed and more than 60 injured in clashes between the ruling Fatah faction and an extremist group in the camp, the largest of the 12 Palestinian camps established. in Lebanon in 1948 after 'Israel' was founded.

Fatah accused the Islamic armed groups Jund al-Sham and al-Shabab al-Islam of fatally shooting a Fatah army general, Abu Ashraf al-Armoushi, at the camp.

According to Maher Shabaita, the leader of Fatah in the Sidon region, Palestinian factions in the camp have formed an investigative committee to find out who is responsible for al-Armoushi's murder and will hand them over to a Lebanese court. processed. be judged

A ceasefire between Palestinian groups in the camp was announced on July 31, mediated by the Lebanese parties. According to the United Nations agency for Palestinian refugees, or UNRWA, Ein el-Hilweh has between 80,000 and 250,000 refugees.

On Thursday, Dorothee Klaus - UNRWA Director for Lebanon - said 600 displaced people from the camp are staying at two of the agency's schools, in Sidon and another nearby camp, Mieh Mieh.
