South Korea's President Moon Jae-in is coming to India on a four-day tour. It is the first visit of Moon Jae-in after becoming the President, where he will discuss issues related to common interests on bilateral, regional and global issues with the top Indian leaders.

South Korean President Moon Jae-in will be on the state visit of India from July 8 to 11. A team of Cabinet members and businessmen are also coming along with them. On July 9, he is scheduled to meet with Vice-President Venkaiah Naidu and External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj. On the same day, Moon will participate in the program of India-Korea Business Forum. They will accompany Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the Tomb of Mahatma Gandhi and visit the Samsung plant in Noida.

South Korean President Moon Jae-in is also invited in a traditional reception which will be held at the Rashtrapati Bhavan on July 10. Then there will be a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Hyderabad House. Some agreements may also be signed during this period. In the evening, President Ramnath Kovind will give dinner in his honour.

During this visit, there will be a widespread discussion on topics related to shared interests, including bilateral, regional and global issues between the South Korean President and Prime Minister Modi. It will focus on strengthening the special strategic relations of the two countries. The economic cooperation between the two countries is expected to be discussed.

It is notable that Prime Minister Narendra Modi went to South Korea's capital in 2015, where the emphasis on special strategic partnership between the two countries was emphasized. South Korea had established formal relations with India in the year 1973.
