Mahesh Babu’s mother and veteran actor Krishna’s wife Indira Devi, passed away at 4 am on September 28, 2022, in Hyderabad. She had been suffering from age-related health problems for the past few days and was admitted to AIG Hospital in Hyderabad. Later, she was put on a ventilator for some time.

The family also shares an official statement. According to which, “Smt. Ghattamaneni Indira Devi, wife of veteran actor Krishna and mother of Mahesh Babu passed away a short while ago. She had been suffering from illness for quite some time now. Her mortal remains will be kept at Padmalaya Studios for fans to visit at 9 am today and later the last rites will be performed at Maha Prasthanam."

Speaking about Indira Devi, She is suffering from age related health issues. She was the first wife of Krishna. Indira Devi gave birth to five children including Mahesh Babu, Ramesh Babu (passed away earlier this year), Manjula, Padmavathi (Guntur MP Galla Jayadev wife) and Priyadarshini (actor Sudheer Babu’s wife)
