Trinidad: Prior to the third and final ODI of a three-match series against the West Indies on Monday, India players were welcomed by two special locals as they arrived at their team hotel in Trinidad.

Dwayne Bravo, a former all-rounder for the West Indies, was at the team hotel to meet and greet the Indian players with his young son.

Rohit Sharma, the captain of India, spent time with Dwayne Bravo and his son. The West Indies all-rounder, who recently played for Texas Super Kings in the inaugural season of Major League Cricket, won praise for his kind deed on social media. He took time out of his schedule after his return from the US to meet the Indian players.

Bravo is seen in a BCCI video hanging out with India players while sporting a cream-colored t-shirt. Bravo was excited to reconnect with Ruturaj Gaikwad and Ravindra Jadeja, two former teammates on the Chennai Super Kings.

By the way, Virat Kohli was not in the video because he arrived in Trinidad too late for the third ODI.

India and the West Indies' three-match One-Day International series has been an exciting spectacle so far. India won the first game, which was played at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, by a margin of five wickets.

In just 23 overs, the West Indies were dismissed for a pitiful 114 runs, with Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja each taking four and three wickets. Ishan Kishan, who scored a half-century, and Rohit Sharma, who entered at number seven to complete the innings, led India's response. India managed to reach the target in 22.5 overs despite some setbacks, giving them the victory.

However, there was a significant change in the second ODI. In an experimental move ahead of the Asia Cup, India decided to rest their star players, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli.

All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja defended this choice, saying that this series was the only chance the team had to try out novel pairings.

Sadly, the West Indies defeated India by six wickets, so this experiment did not produce the desired results. By taking three wickets each, Gudakesh Motie, Romario Shepherd, and Alzarri Joseph effectively dismantled the Indian batting order.

With one victory each for India and the West Indies in the series, it is now evenly poised. The decisive game will be in the third, and it's unclear if India will bring back their rested players or stick with their experimental strategy.
