New Delhi: The Yamuna Authority has decided to reduce the speed of vehicles on the Yamuna Expressway. In fact, as soon as the winter arrives, the fog appears in the morning and evening. The speed of vehicles in the midst of fog sometimes becomes an excuse for accidents. In order to prevent these accidents, the Yamuna Authority has decided to reduce the speed of vehicles.

According to the decision, the maximum speed limit of vehicles on Yamuna expressway will be reduced from 100 to 80 kmph from December 15. Yamuna Expressway operations head Santosh Panwar has informed that light vehicles will now be able to ply at a speed of 80 kmph. Heavy vehicles will be able to run at a speed of 80 to 60 kmph, which will be applicable from December 15 to February 15, followed by a review.

State that time booths have been set up in different areas of Jewar and Agra through Yamuna Authority time monitoring. Speedometers have also been installed on the expressway by the authority. Strict action will also be taken against vehicles if they are found to be at a speed higher than the prescribed limit.
