Union Home Minister Amit Shah and PM Modi paid humble tributes to the great freedom fighters who participated in the movement. At the same time, Amit Shah further wrote, "The history of the August Revolution is full of heroic stories of innumerable anonymous warriors, which will always inspire generations to come. Today, on the 79th anniversary of the Quit India Movement, I salute the immortal freedom fighters who laid down their lives in this mahayagya of freedom."
