New Delhi: Official sources indicated on Saturday that senior members of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee will meet with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on April 4 to examine the state's present political scenario. This meeting is crucial ahead of the Telangana Assembly Elections, which will take place next year.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has invited the state's party leaders to see him in New Delhi on April 4th, said Madhu Yashki Goud, Chairman of the All India Congress Campaign Committee of Telangana Unit. Sanga Reddy MLA Jagga Reddy, senior leaders V Hanumanth Rao and Marri Shashidhar Reddy, and Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy would also be present at the April 4 meeting.

The Congress government is putting forth every effort to ensure that its membership drive is a success. The membership campaign began on November 1, 2021, with a particular focus on digital membership in order to better prepare the party for electoral challenges.

According to reports, about 40 lakh members have enlisted in Telangana, and the Congress membership campaign in the southern states of India has been more successful. So far, almost 4.5 crore people are estimated to have joined the Congress party. Congress wants people who joined on paper to be included in the digital register as well. The party believes that doing so will aid in better preparation for the Lok Sabha elections in 2024.

On the 30th of March, Rahul Gandhi met with senior party leaders from Telangana at his residence, as is widely known.
