Opening batsmen Upul Tharanga gave Sri Lanka a solid start in the third ODI against India on Sunday. The left-hander looked in fine form as the visitors set out to win the series-deciding match in Visakhapatnam. However, as Tharanga was nearing his century, Mahendra Singh Dhoni's brilliance behind the stumps got the better of him. Upul Thranga who look in good touch after hit five consecutive boundaries, when Hardik Pandiya bowled his 3rd over of the innings.

It was an important breakthrough for the hosts as the Lankans were looking set to get a massive score at that moment. It was also an important moment for Dhoni as he had earlier failed to ask for a DRS review even though one-down batsman Sadeera Samarawickrama was out LBW to Kuldeep. That wicket followed another one as Niroshan Dickwella fell to Kuldeep in the same over. From 160 for two in 27 overs, Sri Lanka were reduced to 168 for four in 28 overs and 204 runs for 6 wickets in 37th overs. And than end up with the score of 215 runs in 44.5 overs

For India  Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal pick three wicket each. The opener was batting on 95 runs when he missed a delivery from Kuldeep Yadav and dragged his back foot a little ahead of the batting crease. Dhoni, as he does so often, dislodged the bails in a flash and went up in appeal. He was the only player in the Indian team to do so. And as it turned out, Tharanga's foot was on the line and he had to walk back dejected.
