New Delhi: The New Zealand team is on a tour of Sri Lanka these days. A three-match T20 series is being played between Sri Lanka and New Zealand. The last match of the series is being played at Pallekele. The last T20 match of the series will be played on 6 September. New Zealand has won the three-match series 2–0, but they do not have the playing eleven for the next match. The 14-man squad was selected by the New Zealand Cricket Board for the three-match T20 series against Sri Lanka, out of which 4 players have been injured so far.
Even two players have dropped out of the series altogether, including all-rounder Gourd Ferguson and opener Martin Guptill. Apart from these, the middle order batsmen Ross Taylor and Tom Bruce of the Kiwi team, captained by fast bowler Tim Southee, are also badly injured, whose play remains skeptical.
In this way, 4 out of 14 players are injured, then only 10 players are fit for the New Zealand team to enter their match because the match is just two days later. Ross Taylor has a hip injury, while Tom Bruce suffers from a knee injury. The final update regarding both has not come. If these are declared unfit then the problem may arise in front of the team.
