Srinagar: The trial against Bitta Karate, the terrorist accused of brutal killings of Kashmiri Hindus in Jammu and Kashmir, will be heard again today after 31 years. In fact, a petition has been filed in a Srinagar court seeking the reopening of the cases registered against Bitta Karate. The Srinagar court will hear the matter today. The family of the victim Satish Tikku has moved the Srinagar court with the help of activist Vikas Rana. Lawyer Utsav Bains will take sides on behalf of Tikku's family. 

Let me tell you that Bitta Karate is a terrorist who was sent to jail on charges related to the killing of innocent people and terrorism in Kashmir. In an interview, Bitta himself admitted to killing 20 Kashmiri Hindus. Bitta Karate had said that he had killed 20 Kashmiri Hindus. In a 1991 interview, Bitta had said that if he had been ordered to kill his mother or brother, he would not have hesitated to kill them too. Bitta also says how he started the massacre in the Valley with the killing of 22-year-old Kashmiri Pandit Satish Kumar Tikku. 

Bitta was also arrested under the Public Safety Act. Bitta had more than 19 militancy-related cases registered against him. He was also arrested during the Amarnath dispute in 2008. Bitta was a trend in martial arts, so people started applying Karate with his name. Bitta Karate spent nearly 16 years in jail, finally released on bail by a TADA court on October 23, 2006.
