Chasing this target, Pakistan was bowled out for just 147 runs by the Lankan bowlers.

Mohammad Rizwan top-scored for Pakistan with a score of 55 runs in 49 balls. Pramod Madushan and Wanindu Hasaranga were the heroes of the victory for Sri Lanka. Madushan took three wickets and Hasaranga three wickets in one over.
Sri Lanka first won the Asia Cup title in 1986. After this, the team won the title in 1997, 2004, 2008, 2014 and now 2022. India has won this title 7 times. Sri Lanka is now just one title away from India. This is the first time since April 2014 that Sri Lanka has won five consecutive T20 matches. Earlier, the team won five T20 matches one after the other in the T20 World Cup played in Bangladesh in 2014.
