The set of TV's famous serial Kumkum Bhagya caught fire on Saturday evening which created a ruckus like situation on the set. The fans serial started worrying about their favorite actors. Actress Sriti Jha, who plays the lead role in the serial, informed her fans about her health. A fire broke out on the set at around 4 pm last evening. The serial was being shot at Killick Nixon Studi in Saki Naka, Mumbai. Lead actors Shabbir Ahluwalia and Sriti Jha, who played Abhi and Pragya in the serial, have narrowly survived. Now actress Sriti herself has told through social media that she is absolutely healthy.

Actress Sriti has shared a story through her official Instagram. In this story, Sriti has shared her picture, with an orange-colored 'teeka' on her forehead. The actress wrote with this photo, 'Aai ne meri nazar utari. Main bilkul safe hu (Mom prayed for me to ward off evil. I am absolutely safe)." We never speak much...mostly. I am at a loss of words with her...But she called me over for this. @aaiskitchenmumbai Kaha rakhu itna pyaar (where do I keep so much love)."

The cause of the fire is being speculated as a short circuit, though details are yet to come in. The shooting was in progress when the incident happened, while when the incident took place there were no crew members and actors present thus no one was affected with the fire on the sets, and everyone was moved out safely.

Soon after the accident, the shoot ceased and all the people who came for work on the set were sent back to their respective homes. With Kumkum Bhagya, the shooting of Kasauti Zindagi serial is also now delayed due to sudden fire on the set of the serial.
