Kings XI Punjab bowler Sam Curran is performing very well in the current season of the IPL. Even he bagged the maiden hat-trick of the season against Delhi Capitals. Team looked set for a second defeat of the season as DC needed just 23 runs off 22 balls with Rishabh Pant and Colin Ingram in full flow. But Curran and Mohammed Shami wreaked havoc as KXIP picked up 7 wickets for just 8 runs in 17 balls to condemn DC to a 14-run defeat at the PCA Stadium in Mohali.

In his first season in the IPL, Curran is expecting to continue his good form for KXIP. After a sensational hat-trick against DC, Curran will play a crucial role for the Punjab-outfit this season. He is playing for the first time in India and the youngster is relishing the experience of playing in front of a huge and passionate crowd. he told CricketNext, “The crowds are huge and that is something I expected coming into the tournament.” The standard of cricket is extremely high and playing with some of the world’s best players. I am really enjoying playing at the moment and just taking it one day at a time. He further added, “Learning to play in front of such big crowds is important. The surfaces have also varied in different parts. It’s my first time playing in India so the heat and humidity has been a challenge but I hope to pick a few things from all these great players and hopefully take something back for the English season.”
