The celebrity star-studded Ram Lila, with performances by Bollywood stars and politicians is a big hit with the audience. The performers said three hours of rehearsals and three hours of makeup for a three-hour live performance of the Ram Lila going on in Ayodhya, in the grand setting of Laxman Qila on the the banks of River Saryu make it wonderful to perform.
A troupe comprising of 85 artists from Mumbai is busy giving virtual delight to the viewers with an amazing performance a great experience to watch on different media platforms and a 55-member team from Doordarshan is shooting the epic of the Ramayana from nine angles. Actor Shahbaz Khan playing the character of Ravana said it is a great experience enacting scenes from the Ramayana and the biggest challenge is giving a live three-hour performance without any retake. To be noted, MP Ravi Kishan is also playing a role in Ramleela. The character of Bharat is played by the Gorakhpur MP Ravi Kishan.
The rehearsals started since the month of August and practise of three hours every day was made. Before a live performance, we do full-dress rehearsal on the stage for at least three hours. Ram Lila beguns on October 9 and will finish on October 24 with the 'Ravan Dahan' on the next day. For this a 100-feet tall Ravana effigy is being prepared. The organizer told we have sent an invitation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to be the chief guest on this occasion.
