Once again political tussle has started between Punjab and Haryana regarding SYL (Sutlej Yamuna Link) canal. In the Punjab Assembly, Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh said that we are ready to be martyred, but will not give even one drop of water to any other state through SYL. Reversing this, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal said that we do not know of anyone being martyred, but SYL has the right of Haryana and no one can stop it. Leader of the Opposition and former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda and INLD MLA Abhay Singh Chautala also shook their notes and said that they will continue to take SYL water.

Regarding canal water, Haryana CM Manohar Lal said that the Supreme Court has already given a decision in favor of Haryana regarding the water of SYL canal. It is expected that the Supreme Court will soon issue orders for water and the responsibility of canal construction can once again be given to any agency of the Center.

For your information, let us tell you that the Leader of Opposition in the Haryana Assembly Bhupendra Singh Hooda said that Haryana will keep taking a drop of its share. He is not begging anyone, asking for his rights. Hooda said that whatever steps the government will take for SYL, they are ready to stand above the party line and support them. Along with this, he also took a sarcasm at the state government.
