West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar, who is at loggerheads with the TMC government in the state, on Friday attacks Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for “humiliating” him. in an interview to PTI on Friday, the Governor once again targeted the CM. He accused Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee of constantly keeping him in the dark and insulting him at every opportunity. This will only “belittle” her own stature, Dhankhar told PTI in an interview and urged Banerjee, for whom he professed “enormous respect”, to introspect and find the way forward.
For your information, tell us that the Governor also took a dig at Assembly Speaker Viman Bandyopadhyay. He said that on the occasion of Constitution Day on November 26, he was invited to speak after the guests deliberately violating the protocol in the program organized in the assembly.
In his statement, he said that have you seen in any part of the country that the current governor in the state assembly is called at number five to address the house. Not only this, in his presence the program should be chaired by former Governor (MK Narayanan), former Lok Sabha Speaker (Meira Kumar) and former Chief Election Commissioner (SY Qureshi). Expressing sorrow over the matter, he said that despite the serious violation of the protocol, I went there seeing the importance of the program. But this step of his was undesirable. Continuing his attack on CM, the Governor further said that according to the constitution, the Chief Minister should inform the Governor of every major issue. But till today he has not informed me even once. He told that after Cyclone Bulbul came, I wrote a letter to the CM for information about the state of the state. But in an unfortunate way, the Chief Secretary of the state gave his answer.
