On Wednesday, a petition was filed in the Delhi High Court against the Delhi government for not sanctioning prosecution in the JNU sedition case. The High Court has directed the Delhi government to take action under the law on a plea seeking sanction for a sedition case against former JNUSU President Kanhaiya Kumar. The court has also disposed of the petition of former BJP MLA Nand Kishore Garg with this order.

Nandkishore Garg said that it is not the job of the Chief Minister to sit on the file of a case. He has also filed a charge sheet in the Delhi Police case, yet why the Delhi government is not giving approval for prosecution and what is the reason behind it.
