Rajasthan: According to BJP state president Satish Poonia, the party's defeat in the 2018 assembly elections was due to dominance of bureaucracy and no hearing of activists during the tenure of Vasundhara Raje government. Instead of ministers, bureaucracy ran the government. At present, many such works were done during the tenure of the Vasundhara Raje government, due to which the state has moved forward on the path of development. He said that the organization also had a weakness at that time. But now the organization will be strengthened. Decisions will be taken in the organization after discussing with the lower-level cadres. He said that workers sitting in far-flung areas will get organization priority. Four days ago, Poonia, who assumed the post of state president, told Dainik Jagran that indiscipline in the party will no longer be a waste. Leaders and workers will have to follow the guideline set by the party. If any leader and worker break the guidelines set by the party, action will be taken against him.

On the question of former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje not being present in the party's programs for the past and the campaign for the two assembly seats held last month, she said that she could not come due to busyness. He said that it is also possible that Vasundhara Raje could not prepare herself to activate herself after the defeat in the assembly elections a year ago, hopefully, she will be active in the state soon. He said that we had lost elections in the previous BJP government due to the lack of proper hearing of legislators, activists and office bearers of the organization, but when the party comes to power, the old shortcomings will be removed.

Poonia said that a new generation will be brought forward in the organization. The party leadership has decided that a worker above 42 years of age will not be able to become a Mandal president. Now it will be tried to set the same age limit in the district and state officials. He said that efforts will be made that new people get a chance to work in the organization. The program to connect new people to the party will continue continuously. Work will be done under the new strategy in Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha and Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad to connect the youth to more and more parties. He said that a public awareness campaign will be launched among the common people to clear the confusion being spread by the opposition regarding the Citizenship Amendment Act. Under this campaign, party leaders and workers will go among the people and give correct information about the law. Regarding preparations for the panchayat elections, he said that soon the responsibility of the leaders will be determined. He hoped that the party would do better in the panchayat elections.

He said that the one-year tenure of the Ashok Gehlot government of the state has been completely disappointing. The government has not done any such work in a year, which can benefit the common people. He said that in the coming days there will be agitation from district to state-level against Gehlot government. Taking a dig at CM Ashok Gehlot, he said that the Chief Minister has suffered from short term memory loss due to which he always keeps chanting the names of PM Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah.
