Sharjah: Rajasthan Royals (RR) captain Steve Smith has praised Rahul Tevatia for his explosive innings of 5 sixes in an over, describing the record victory against Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) on Sunday as special. Kings Eleven scored a score of 223 runs for two wickets from Mayank Agarwal (106) on the invitation of the first balloting, but the Royals made a record of achieving the biggest target in IPL by 226 runs for six wickets.

The heroes of the victory were Sanju Samson (85) and Tevatia (53). Tevatia hit five sixes in an over by Sheldon Kotrail and overturned the match. After the match, Smith said, "This win is special. Isn't it. Tevatia's game against Coutrell was unique. We saw Tevatia on the nets as it looked in Cottrell's overs. He showed emotion. He told me during the timeout that we could still win," he told during the timeout.

Smith said, "We made a comeback with sixes hit at Kotrail, and then Jofra (Archer) again put on the best of his skills to play big shots.
