Steve Smith reveals still hasn't fully recovered from his elbow surgery

Rajasthan Royal’s  defeated  Mumbai Indians (MI) by 5 wickets in match 36 of the Indian Premier League. Its Steve Smith who palyed a vital role and played an unbeaten knock of 59 runs in 48 balls and ensured that RR win their third match at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. This was the first match since Smith was named the captain of the RR side for the remainder of the IPL season.

In his innings saw he hit five fours and 1 six as MI bowlers failed to dismiss him. After the match, Smith admitted that becoming the captain of the side has had a positive impact on him even though he was dropped for RR’s last game with Kings XI Punjab (KXIP).

Smith said, "Feel like I'm getting better and better with the way that I'm hitting the ball. Smith revealed that he still hasn’t fully recovered from the elbow surgery that he had earlier in the year. But he has still been selected in Australia’s World Cup squad and Smith believes that he will be in perfect shape in the next couple of weeks. "I still have to play quite heavily strapped," he said.  "There are still a few issues with throwing but I'm back throwing and getting there slowly. A couple of weeks later I should be able to throw at full pace, which is going to be nice.
