Dimapur : Himato Jhimomi, Principal Secretary, Urban Development and Municipal Affairs, Government of Nagaland shared this news through his Twitter handle on Thursday afternoon. Jhimomi said that community service would be imposed on those who violated the rules of the administration. Along with the tweet, he also added a few pictures in which citizens are seen clearing the garbage and cleaning the roads. especially in urban towns and cities, and the Dimapur administration enforces community service as a punishment against littering on the streets, spitting in public places, etc.

Widely appreciated by netizens. Various Twitter handles have also reportedly said that the four-lane in the city has been converted into two-lane due to the illegal parking system being adopted by the common people. Community service as a means of punishment will certainly ensure the remission of such illegal practices. Community service, when used as a means of punishment, is intended to benefit a society that has been deliberately harmed by miscreants.

It has often been observed that judges punish the violators in such a way that there is no violence or bodily harm. In the midst of this corona virus epidemic, cleanliness is touching the heights and there is spitting on the streets and strict action and treatment should be taken against those who throw garbage here and there. It is expected that this step towards cleaning the city by this northeastern state will encourage the rest of the Indian states. It is also a step forward towards the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan launched by the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which has received immediate praise and appreciation from all corners of the country.
