Raipur: There have been reports of students leaving private schools amid the Covid-19 pandemic in Chhattisgarh. For this, CM Bhupesh Baghel has directed collectors and district education officials to give more information about the case and adopt appropriate measures for redressal.

According to information received, the state PR Ministry officials said that the state Education Ministry has written to the collectors and DEO to meet parents and encourage students to get admission in government schools. The letter states that there have been several reports in the media that students are leaving private schools for various reasons.

In view of this, he said that information on students' names, addresses, parents contacts, should be collected. The official said that the state Government has stipulated that the emphasis will be on appealing the transfer certificate or mark sheet while enrolling such students from 1st to 10th standard in schools. As per the letter, the marks of Class X must be verified while giving admission in class XI.
