Chennai: The controversy that arose after the suicide of Fatima Latif, a student of IIT Madras, is constantly raging. The student organization of IIT Madras has demanded an inquiry into Fatima's suicide. The students' organization has prepared an online platform for justice to Fatima through which the protest can be made a campaign.

The students' organization has demanded a fair inquiry from the Human Resource Department (MHRD) and the Minorities Commission, looking into the possibility of educational harassment, religious, caste or ethnicity-based bias on campus after Fatima Latif's suicide. Another demand of students is that Grievance Welfare Cell should be implemented in IIT Madras (IITM) to address the complaints of SC / ST / OBC / minority students. For this, there has been an appeal for the full-time appointment of Gender Sensitive Psychiatrists on campus and strengthen the mental health support system.

Meanwhile, DMK Youth Wing has also demanded an inquiry into Fatima's suicide. Protests continue outside the campus and today is its third day. Fatima had a catastrophe on 9 November. Fatima's father Abdul Latif can also meet Chief Minister EPS and Governor Banwari Lal Purohit on Friday beside the Director General of Police.
