New Delhi: Ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Subramanian Swamy has once again taken a dig at the Modi government at the Centre. Amidst the second wave of corona epidemic, cyclone Tauktae wreaked havoc in several coastal states including Maharashtra, Gujarat and Kerala. Last Wednesday, PM Modi visited Tauktae affected areas in Gujarat and announced immediate financial assistance of Rs 1000 crore.

BJP MP Subramanian Swamy has now attacked PM Modi for announcing financial assistance only for Gujarat. In a tweet, he said, "When the PM went to Gujarat, he immediately issued a cheque of Rs 1000 crore as financial assistance. They should now issue cheques for Maharashtra and Kerala, announcing an even larger amount in fairness, where the storm caused serious damage and they could not go there".

PM Narendra Modi has announced an immediate relief package of Rs 1,000 crore to the state of Gujarat affected by cyclone Tauktae. PM Modi had announced the assistance after conducting an aerial survey of storm affected areas of the state on Wednesday and a meeting with Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani. The amount has been given to Gujarat for immediate relief activities.
