Surat: A unique incident has come to light from Chhota Udepur district of Gujarat, in which a marriage took place recently, it was different from all the customs and traditions. Because here a sister married first with her brother's wife, meaning the bride. This marriage took place by performing the rituals as per the wishes of the family and the groom. After this, she made her sister-in-law a bride and brought her home.

In fact, in three villages Ambala, Surkheda and Sanada village of Chhota Udepur district, this type of custom is done to avoid the wrath of the deity. The tribal people here consider Dev Bharmadeva as their adorable god. There is such a tradition of the tribals that Bharmadeo is a bachelor god. Therefore, if any boy from these 3 villages will take the procession, then he has to become the wrathful of the deity.

If the same god is to be saved from anger, then the people of the village send their daughters to the bride's house with a procession. These sisters not only take the procession, but also take the bride and groom as the bridegroom's sister in the pavilion. Thereafter, performing the rituals, the couple comes to the groom. Then the brother settles down with his bride. Recently, Naresh, son of Harising Raising Rathwa of Ambala village got married to Leela, daughter of Vajaliya Himta Rathwa of Ferkuva village. But first the procession from Ambala had come to the groom's sister's house and took her sister-in-law as a bride. Describing this custom, the people of the village say that this ritual has been going on for years. He tried to change this practice some time ago. But due to this, three of the bridegrooms who got married died. Since then this practice is going on in all the three villages.
