Diarrhea is a diseases of the alimentary system and it is common in children as well as adults.
Symptoms
Diarrhea is the loss of water due to frequent loose and watery stools which sometimes can lead to dehydration. If severe diarrhea is left unattended it can lead to death especially in children. Diarrhea is sometimes accompanied with vomiting, abdominal pain, and loss of appetite.

Consuming contaminated water and spoilt food
Lack of hygiene
Having an allergic reaction to milk and milk products
Preventive measures
Consume clean and safe food. Avoid eating spoilt and contaminated food.
Cleanliness should be maintained.
Treatment
It is very important to take in a lot of fluids due to excess loss of water. Oral Rehydration Therapy; it consist of pre-mixed combinations of salt and sugar that needs to be mixed with water and given to a child till diarrhea stops. Drink plenty of water during diarrhea to avoid dehydration.
