The famous Actress Sulakshana Pandit was born on July 12, 1954, in Raigad, Chhattisgarh. She won the hearts of the fans with her beautiful look and performances. She was also a brilliant singer. 'The talented artist Sulakshana Pandit made her debut in 1975 from the film 'Uljhan' she was seen opposite to Sanjeev Kapoor in the film. Seeing Sanjeev of serious nature, Sullivan fell in love with him. Despite Sanjeev Kumar's heart coming to Hema Malini, Sulakshana began to fall in love with him. When Sanjeev Kumar offered to marry Hema Malini, he rejected it because Hema Malini loved Dharmendra. Sanjeev Kumar was heartbroken after Hema refused his proposal.  By then, he and Sulakshana had a very good friendship. He used to share everything with her.

After Hema refused, he also rejected the Sulakshana. After Sanjeev Kumar's rejection, the life of Sulakshana was devastated. She stopped doing films and broke up with the outside world. She had moved with her mother to a Mumbai flat. While living with her mother, her condition did not improve and she went into depression. When Sanjeev Kumar died prematurely in 1985, she got shocked. She lost her mental balance and didn't even recognize anyone. It was revealed by Sulakshana herself in an interview in 1999.
