On Monday, the Delhi Police has filed a charge sheet in a Delhi court in connection with the death of Sunanda Pushkar. As per the reports, the charge sheet has named Sunanda's husband and Congress leader Shashi Tharoor as accused.

The charg sheet includes that the murder was been done under sections 306 (Abetment of suicide) and 498A (Husband or relative of husband of a woman subjecting her to cruelty) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

According to the reports published in ANI, the next date of hearing in the case is May 24.

In the case, Congress leader Shashi Tharoor's wife Sunanda Tharoor was found dead under mysterious circumstances in a suite of a five-star hotel in Delhi. The incident took place on the night of January 17, 2014.

Leading to this, on February 23, Shashi Tharoor said that he was looking for a conclusion in his wife's death case. Coincidently, on that day, his statement came hours after Supreme Court issued a notice to the Delhi Police. The notice was issued on the appeal to challenge the Delhi High Court order to dismiss Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Subramanian Swamy's plea for a Special Investigation Team (SIT)-led probe into the case.
