Lucknow: It is absolutely true that the pain of losing your loved ones badly breaks a person. Some people lose courage in their sorrow, and some bravely commit to do something for society. Sunita Kanojia took a similar resolution after losing her cancer-stricken daughter and devoted her life to the education of poor and destitute children. Sunita has been in regular hospitals for 10 years to provide essential items to children suffering from cancer. Going to settlements and teaching children and making them available stationery etc. has become their way of life.

Sunita Kanojia, who lives in Ganeshganj, says that her daughter Riya died in the year 2009. She had blood cancer. Despite much effort and treatment, she could not be saved. She broke down after her death. Then she realized that there are many children in the hospital whose parents' financial condition is not very good. It came to mind that these children should not be provided with the items of their needs. Initially, the work was a bit difficult, but now every child is her daughter Riya. Therefore, I formed an institution called Riya Foundation and started helping people. After this, she started teaching the children of cancer as well as children of weak income group living in the nearby slum and giving them the necessities.
