Kochi: Sunni leader Abdul Hamid Faizi has lashed out at Kerala Governor Arif Mohammed Khan for visiting the Sabarimala temple, saying the way out of Islam is open. Indeed, the Governor of Kerala had gone on a visit to the state's famous temple Sabarimala, to which Abdul Hamid said that Arif Mohammed Khan had followed all the rituals that a devout Hindu performs.

The Sunni leader said, "Dear friends, we saw Governor Arif Mohammad Khan performing puja at the Sabarimala temple recently. We have opened them the way out of Islam by doing all the rituals in true form. Governor Arif Khan's name will give the impression that he is a Muslim by faith. He has the name of prophet Muhammad and Arif is the word that refers to the one who knows Allah very closely.'' Abdul Hameed said that the governor's remarks on the hijab should not be treated as a comment made by a Muslim. In particular, the Governor of Kerala had categorically said against the pro-hijab movement in Karnataka that if the argument of 'right to the hijab' is accepted, Muslim women will lose. At the same time, he had also slammed Congress and other opposition parties for leveraging the hijab issue for vested interests. Continuing the attack against the governor, the Sunni leader further said that the governor, ridiculing Islam, is that it will give him a new place in the BJP.

Abdul Hameed further said, "There is a condition in Islam that if a Muslim goes to a place of worship of other religions, follows their customs and wears their type of clothes, then he is outside Islam.'' The Sunni leader said, "It is an undeniable fact that if someone questions the basic tenets of Islam, he will be excluded from the religion." I am not saying that Arif Mohammad Khan has become a non-Muslim or kafir. Issuing fatwas is up to religious scholars. I am only talking about Sharia laws. He said there should be no doubt whether the person speaking in relation to hijab and shariah are Islamic scholars. He has worked to go beyond Islam through his actions. However, the point to be noted here is that, in a secular country, we cry out for Ganga-Jamuna Tehzeeb every day, here Hindus greet their Muslim brothers on Eid and in many places Muslims also participate in the celebration of Diwali. Every year, lakhs of Hindus go to Ajmer Sharif, Haji Ali and bow their heads, in such a situation, if a governor goes to the temple, then what can be the menace to any religion? When will the people understand the people who incite society in this way?
