Sunny Deol marked the 32 years of his career-defining film ‘Ghayal’ by posting a video on Instagram comprising of a series of his scenes from the film, on Wednesday. 

Alongside the video, he mentioned how people still struggle for justice, comparing the change of events and time, yet the situation for the poor remains the same, with the caption stating, “ #32YearsofGhayal The world hasn’t changed much. The same struggle for justice  & fight for what’s right is still relevant today #Ghayal”

The post left the fans nostalgic, while many praised the dialogue and the action in the movie in the comments section.

Sunny Deol starrer Ghayal, sowed the seeds of his now flourished career as an action hero, his supremacy as an action hero will be remembered for ages to come. 

Deol acted alongside Meenakshi Sheshdhari, Raj Babbar, Moushimi Chatterjee, and Amrish Puri as lead actors and was helmed by Rajkummar Santoshi in the action drama released in 1990. It revolved around Sunny Deol as an amateur boxer aiming to avenge his brother’s death. 

Ghayal received 8 nominations at the 36th Filmfare Awards and won 7 leading awards, including Best Film, Best Director for Santoshi, and Best Actor for Deol. At the 38th Filmfare Awards, it won the National Film Award for Best Popular Film providing wholesome entertainment, and Deol won the National Filmfare Award- Special Mention.
