Supreme Court dismisses plea filed by Sunil Sing citing foul play in Sridevi’s death

Bollywood ‘Chandani’ Sridevi died on Februray 24, 2018 in Dubai after accidentally drowning in her hotel bath-tub. After 65 days of her sudden dismissal a film-maker Sunil Singh, has filed a plea in the Supreme Court seeking a probe into the death of the much-loved Padma Shri actor. As per the sources of Pink Villa the Supreme Court has accepted the plea and the heard on Friday.

However Supreme Court dismissed the petition seeking a probe into death of actor Sridevi.

Sunil Singh had earlier lodged a PIL seeking an investigation into the late actor in the High Court but The Delhi High Court had dismissed the plea and had said that the authorities in India and Dubai have already looked into the incident. In his filed petition Sunil Singh claimed that the actor’s sudden death was an issue of national interest. In his petition, Sunil Singh assertively mentioned that he was in Dubai on a family vacation from February 20 to February 26. He keenly came to know of Sridevi’s death then. He also claimed in his plea that he talked to hotel staff, officials at the hospital where the actor was taken and others associated to the case.

As per Pinkvilla He gathered information that was contrary to what was initially reported and consequentially He had, therefore filed the petition seeking investigation.
