New Delhi: The apex court has given its verdict on the petition filed against former Congress President Rahul Gandhi today. The court, while advising Rahul Gandhi, has said that his statement about Prime Minister Modi was unfortunate. This was not contempt of court, but they should take care of this in future. Along with this, the court also accepted Rahul's apology.

It is noteworthy that this petition was filed by BJP leader Meenakshi Lekhi, alleging that Rahul Gandhi has said that the apex court has accepted that 'the watchman is a thief'. In fact, during the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Rahul Gandhi tried to surround the Modi government through Rafael on every front, but his stakes backfired.

Today, the court verdict has come on Rahul Gandhi, MP from Wayanad Lok Sabha seat and that too in a case in which he was trying to implicate PM Modi. Rahul Gandhi called PM Modi a thief. In the Rafale case, Rahul Gandhi had said that now even the Supreme Court has accepted that the watchman is a thief. After this, the BJP reached the court with displeasure and today the decision has been taken on the same petition of Meenakshi Lekhi.
